Installing the electrical meter panel was quite a challenge, thanks to PGE. It took us a considerable amount of time to find an approved panel that could cater to both the vineyard and the future residence. The biggest hurdle, however, was dealing with the outdated conduit size. The developer had laid a 3″ conduit, but the revised code required a 4″ conduit. This meant a daunting task of blindly digging under the transformer to create a pathway for the conduit to the box. Countless hours of hand digging and trial and error ensued. But in the end, we triumphed, providing dual 200A service lines for the vineyard and the future residence.
